The towing blitzkrieg continues in the Odesa seaport: towing companies offering unprecedented discounts to agents and ship owners. On the one hand, they are trying to attract new customers, and on the other, they are trying to keep existing ones. USM decided to show the chronology of the drop in tariffs and reflect on what really stands behind such decisions of towers.
Pivdenny seaport is one of the youngest ports in the country, which is the deepest in Ukraine; occupies a strategic position in the work of international transcontinental transport corridors and is the most promising for ensuring the interests of Ukraine as a transit state. In the water area of the port, the Odessa Port Plant, the largest in Ukraine state-owned bulk cargo stevedore Yuzhny Port, the TIS group of companies and other stevedore complexes operate.
Most of the ports of Ukraine are the country's trade gates, and some are also unique in that they are city-forming. There is the seaport "Chornomorsk" among them, more than half a century has passed since its creation. Having survived more than one crisis due to political turmoil in the state, the port remains the center of economic prosperity for a city with a population of almost 100 thousand people.
