In Odesa, the agent of russian federation detected the positions of anti-ship complexes “Neptune”

The SBU detained a russian agent in Odesa who was “hunting” for Ukrainian anti-ship complexes “Neptun”.

The security service detained an agent of the terrorist country’s special services during counter-subversive measures in Odesa.

The attacker collected intelligence about the location and movement of units of the Armed Forces in the city. Among its main tasks was the detection of possible combat positions of air defense and Ukrainian coastal missile systems “Neptun”.

The detainee was also interested in information on the location of checkpoints, fortified areas and the specifics of protecting energy-generating facilities in the south of Ukraine. Intelligence information was needed by the occupiers to prepare and carry out targeted missile strikes on Odesa.

After “arrivals” over the city infrastructure, the russian agent “reported” to his supervisors about the results of the enemy shelling. The SBU employees detained the intruder for another attempt to transfer classified information to the enemy.

According to the investigation, the detainee is a local resident who, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, went to the special services of russian federation and offered them his help in the war against Ukraine.

So far, SBU investigators have informed the suspect of suspicion under part 2 of Art. 111 (treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
